How is Rios doing?
Any updates on injuries?
What is the draft looking like next year?
And most importantly, what is the price of your hot dogs??

Re: Rick's MLB 2k9 Franchise Update
Thank you for your interest Conor.
Alex Rios is hitting .319 with 2 homeruns and only 6 RBIs. A slow start but hopefully he'll pick up the pace in May.
Injuries are mainly affecting my pitching staff right now. During mid-April, David Purcey my 4th pitcher in rotation went down with a torn groin. He's going to be out for about 6 weeks. So to replace him I brought Shaun Marcum into the starting 5. He also got injured in his first appearance but should be good to go for his next start.
In terms of the 2010 Draft year, it is too early in the season to justify any picks. There is a section set up for the Top 100 Prospects, so be sure to ask again near the end of the season.
Hot dog prices are just above average due to the recession. I cannot get into specifics but this team would definitely benefit from further fan support. Right now, at 12-12, we are only averaging 62% capacity attendance at home games. Being only .500 at home (5-5) is unacceptable and in order to garner upwards of 35,000 to a game, we need to begin to play better to compete in the A.L. East.
As of April 30th, 2009 these are the A.L. East Standings:
